This show is pure 90's greatness, and I think Keith David may be the GOAT of VAs. If you're looking for a show to binge I highly recommend.

Some stuff about it didn't age well, but for the majority of the show it absolutely aged magnificently. I got my 9 year old nephew hooked on it when he thought it looked dumb.

I always make fun of my secretary at work because she let it slip once that she grew up with a huge crush on Goliath. When I did the math she was in like late hs when it came out though.

Also I hope the franchise gets revived. I always felt that Gargoyles was a rich world that should have turned into a massive franchise. Maybe spinoffs. Movies. Video games. Comics. Imagine a Gargoyles Expanded Universe

Love this show, Gargoyles was my childhood. Pretty sure I was the biggest (if not the only) fan for miles around, I had all kinds of merchandise, had toys of the gargoyles in both stone form and night form. I even remember how the "movie" VHS had Elisa narrating the board game at the end of the movie, and I was trying hard to follow. It's one of those references in Community I actually got .

Keith David's voice as Goliath... I love it. Elisa Maza one of my favorite characters. Xanatos such a great character that greg weismann himself (and others) have been trying to recreate his gambits in other characters and shows for years.

I rewatched this show a few years ago and not only do I still love it, not only does it still hold up, I'm also amazed at how some things are actually better appreciated as an adult.

It's criminal that this show never got the success it so very clearly deserved. I wish Disney plus would open it to a whole new audience.

Anyone read the comics? Not just the 2006 ones which I liked for matching the artstyle of the show, I recently found out that they've just released new comics as well.

I loved that show as a kid despite not remembering a single scene of any episode, I just remember loving it and still thinking gargoyle paintings are cool to this day

This show is excellent. The art, animation, voice acting/direction, storytelling, characterization and scripting. All is great! It's up there with Batman TAS. it's a shame that ABC killed off this show with the shoddy third season. The comics continuing the story is great. I think Greg Weisman would love to continue this show. All we need is a network to pick it up.

What's the board game like?

Watched a lot of it live/as it aired and was really impressed by characters with multiple dimensions and plots that were "messy" (redemption didn't automatically mean everything was forgiven/character survived, multiple 'good' people wanting different things, etc)

"Something may not be your fault but it can still be your responsibility" from Halcyon is still a recurring line in my thoughts ...

Also, I remember rereading all the lore that Weisman had written for other shows he wanted to make set in the same universe. There was a lot of cool shit there. They really should bring it back and/or roll it into the Marvel universe. That would be so dope.

What are some of the potential lore that sounded cool?

Damn, I knew that a lot of star trek cast members were VAs on Gargoyles but not that much.

I don't blame Greg for using Star Trek cast members. Their acting/voice acting is great. And some of the shows character models look like them.
