Only reaction it got out of me besides cringe was joy seeing characters die. Sometimes, I just get on a weird kick where I consume all possible media for a given franchise. Like, there was a time when I watched all of the Robocop movies and that weird four-part miniseries. I peaced out without watching the remake. Or there was a time when I watched all of the Zorro movies and the cartoon, but I cut out partway through because I didn't have access to a made-for-TV movie that he was a part of. I saw it years later and... it wasn't good. I even did that one time where I watched all 27 Tarzan movies. (That's not including remakes, the animated movies, or the silent movies.) So, yeah. Sitting through a 65-episode series with one good episode is pretty much par the course for my behavior. I think I really watched it as a study of how to let a franchise die. The video games had no continuity. The live action movie had nothing to do with the video games. The cartoon had nothing to do with the live action movie, the cartoons, or the video game. This was the forerunner of the beat 'em up genre and the second video game to ever receive a film adaptation. Double Dragon should be video gaming royalty. Bad acting, bad dialogue, no one is really likable, toilet humor, tons of batshit insane bullying that the show doesn't portray seriously enough (or at all), and "boys will be boys and you were wrong to think otherwise" is frequently the moral of the story. They are even worse than The Kazon.~~ ~~"Only a Commander can be in charge of a Spacestation"! Quick lets make Sisko Captain to try and win back the fans.~~ "We do not want to do the Starship thing again" Quick lets bring in The Defiant to try and win back the fans.
