Whether you're a driver or you used Uber, either way

  • I've had two Uber drivers who used the platform to advertise their business. They gave me the ride I needed, but the whole time they were talking about their business opportunity. I gave them fake phone numbers.
  • One girl I was waiting for to pick me up, but her car wasn't moving. I waited 15 minutes and her car was still not moving. Finally after 20 minutes, it started moving. When arrived at my house, she said the reason it took so long was because she was getting her car washed at Delta Sonic. LMAO.
  • The worst experience I ever had was this dude who picked me up on a Saturday. He was really pissed off that I was using the app, because he had other things to do, and he didn't want to drive all the way to my side of the town. He kept saying "you couldn't find anyone to pick you up?"

dude drove all the way to me, and then told me that he was actually taking a break.

maybe it was a race thing.

luckily, a cool female driver, who was in school for opera, came by not long after

Picked up a nice older couple from the airport. Everything was fine until the conversation started leaning towards recruiting me for some vague sounding pyramid scheme. Little bit worse when religion came in but ended fine. Go to pick up my next ride and smell urine and assume it's because I'm in a questionable area. Noooooope. Old man peed himself and didn't say a word.
