If you have other job offers, an ultimatum is fine. If its a bluff, not so much.

if it comes down to it, make it an ultimatum. seriously. if you're doing twice the work, you should definitely be getting at least twice the pay. an increase of $1 doesn't even cover inflation

Year and a half, geez

Well, fuck.

I got a hold of my supervisor -- finally -- only to find out that I needed to converse with the company director who can only be reached by email. So, I bluffed my way through the email. I told him I had been offered a job which pays $2 more per hour. What I didn't say is that I'd actually turned that offer down.

I've only spoken to this guy three or four times in the past two years. Chances are, he'll let me go quietly. In which case, I'm cool with that. I've had multiple offers and I'll grab the next one.
