Just the base vanilla game is hard and some of the levels, especially the later levels are brutal to 100%

And you have to 100% the levels TWICE due to that idiotic colour filter mode .

AND you also have to beat the levels without dying + getting all the boxes.... AND you have to get platnium Relics....

Which means even if you're a super God that can 100% the difficult levels 1st time without dying + get the plat relic 1st time without dying...... You still have to play each level a bare minimum of 3 times

And an average player would have to do it over and over and over and over and over because the difficulty is brutal.

That's more than 3 full entire days of nothing but playing a Crash platformer, the same long levels of the same Crash platformer over and over and over...

Good lord. And they call the Trilogy Remake N.Sane.

I think they went too far with it TBH. Content is good but just making players play the same artifically difficult levels 9 times over and over isn't content, it's padding and bad padding.

Good thing Assassin's Creed made me stop caring about 100%ing games a decade ago.

I like collecting headphones and iems. My fave game of all time is DMC 3 SE on PC w/ style switch mod. IMO it the best button masher on earth

Yeah the biggest problem with Crash 4 is that it was made by people who understood why Crash was so popular, but then got really carried away trying to emulate it.

Don't forget like damn near every level has a handful of hidden secret boxes/gems, the latter vary between the regular/colour filter modes and both are often so frustratingly hidden that it has to be damn near impossible to actually find them all without consulting a guide or something. Its a nightmare to 100% or to speed run, which is a shame since that's really the main drive of this kind of game.

But when a really old school game brings that kind of nonsense back, others (or same) people complain lol games 2 hard.

It's not kazio Mario levels of difficulty, just seems like standard crash 1 difficulty

I'm cool with that

I also like Dragon's Dogma clone shop that can duplicate any item in the game for huge amounts of in game money

So many games have broken economies and any outside the box thinking for the player to spend their money on is appreciated by me

Hell FFIX is probably my favorite game ever and that game may as well not have money because you always end up as a multi-millionaire with nothing to spend it on

It's way way way harder than Crash 1. The levels are massively longer, almost every single one has bullshit hidden boxes or auto scrolling sections or strange platforming challenges.

And Crash 1 didn't make you replay the same levels over and over.

It's also silly to say "People don't like it when games are too easy but also don't want to do the same overly long bullshit thing over and over and over again. You can't be pleased!"

Both of those things suck.

TLOU2 also has a bunch of shitty colour filters but they don't make you replay the entire game 4 times using them to unlock endings, costumes and trophies.

I got all platinum relics in N. Sane Trilogy and CTR but I did not have the patience for 106% in Crash 4. Aint nobody got time for that.

Crash 4 is weird because the originals were never that hard. Just because a game is old doesn't mean it was hard. I don't think this is even the first franchise throwback to fall for this. I think Mega Man did this too?
