on one hand, he's a hustler, like people say he is, but he also brought attention to stories that might not have received it otherwise.

Last bump

I used to be neutral on him, until I paid attention to a story that happened like 10+ years ago. Anyway, long enough that my memory of what happened is hazy at best. What i remember is:

Think it was a Chicago area HS. Some kids get expelled for events at a football game. So Sharpton comes rolling into town, going all in how these poor kids were being punished because they were black. Maybe a week later, more details come out about the expelled kids. School had all kinds of receipts on them, the numerous warnings and suspensions they had gotten due to their behavior. They may have been warned that they weren't allowed to come to this game, that this was their last chance and expulsion was on the table. So they show up and start a mini-riot in the stands or something.

So of course, after a week of stoking tension in the area, the esteemed Mr. Sharpton slinks away without a word and pretends he was never there.
