Imagine removing games from the marketplace. Don't you use the same marketplace for all your shit? Nintendo is really guilty for it, but they have a separate ecosystem for each of their online services. While still bullshit, that's at least marginally understandable. Xbox Live? That's across all your platforms. Same relative ecosystem, is it not? What's the excuse here?

I imagine theyve checked and no one has bought them for years and realised they can save money on space by removing them. I dunno.

The follow-up tweet says its likely just for the 360 marketplace, so any backwards compatible games should still be available on Xbone and X/S.

What happens to games that have day one patches or critical dlc? Some games like Asuras Wrath the entire last 1/4 of the game is DLC.

i wish those were ported to pc so i can try them out

People upload like a billion hours of video onto YouTube everyday.Ok, its not that much, but you get my point. Storage is super cheap, probably cheaper than whatever bad press thisll garner. Penny wise, pound foolish.

True but there are also costs for syncing that data round the data centres etc as well. We do a lot with cloud storage and its not the space thats the cost its the movement of that data

I own both of those and never finished them, eternal sonata as well kinda hurts, wonder if my 360 thats been in storage for half a decade still works.

And yet the fuckery is still no comparison to Nintendo.
