That's not how it works for basically any group. Every group has internal disputes on who actually qualifies to exist under their banner. And every group has some basic internal definitions that define who

Christianity is probably where we're most familiar with this. There's a trillion different forms, some say that believing in Christ is enough, some say you have to agree with them specifically, some are inbetween, yet still distinguish between themselves and JWs, Mormons, etc.

Either way, your statement is straight up wrong.

No one is disputing the fact that irrational hatred of trans people is a school of thought that many people subscribe to. Modern feminism is moving to reject it and people like Rowling from the movement though. Seems like you're consistently incapable of accepting that.

Unlike conservative ideologies, feminism doesn't need a crowned leader to make decisions. The whole of the people decide where the movement goes, and the messaging is pretty clear: TERFs have no place in it.

If she didn't care she wouldn't bother to tweet so much weird shit. This isn't the behavior of someone who doesn't care.

Seems more like the behavior of someone who is extremely rustled to keep getting negative feedback when she wanted to be the public's darling like she used to be.

TERF's are "feminist", but they're so off the rail types with their anti-man rhetoric that they can't fanthom why a person born male would transition to a female other than men wanting to steal women's priveleges and do terrible stuff to them (or how JK Rowling is putting it, rape other women). They have no problem with FtM though. They're so batshit insane, you basically have to dissociate from them, especially if you identify as a feminist.

I have 2 theories:

1) she is having some sort of undiagnosed mental issue

2) the right wing grift machine enlisted her (and thus is paying her), sort of like what happened with the likes of rogan, Gina carano, etc

The real answer is she said a dumb, shitty thing, people got mad at her and instead of shutting the fuck up, she continued doubling down until the only thing she had left supporting her was the right wing outrage machine. Now she has to play the hits forever, so to speak.
