Chain attacks are kinda op

It depends on the situation. In many/most cases you can end the fight more efficiently without using the chain attacks. There's lots of flashy effects and animations, and all that stuff adds time onto the fight. Even towards end game when I was farming super bosses, it was more efficient to not use chain attacks at all, because the no-chain attack kill time was quite a bit faster.

Is it beneficial to have a low time?

I thought people were exaggerating about the menu music. It's a cool song, but damn does it interrupt field music everytime you fast travel
