The first Pirates of the Caribbean movie is better. Dead Man's Chest is terrible - way too long and mostly boring - so it's not hard for something like Jungle Cruise to be better than it. (Though I have admittedly not seen the Jungle Cruise movie, as it's still fairly new)

Now if you're talking about the rides... that I can agree with wholeheartedly. One is awesome the first time and dull thereafter. The other you never know what you're getting, and sometimes the skipper makes a difference. That said, I haven't been in 20 years. I should fix that.

Yea, rides, that's why I mentioned (small hell on earth). I have never gone on the Jungle Cruise and felt like it was the same as any previous go at it. Even when I was young I loved all of the dad jokes, now I make them myself as an uncle. The only changes I have noticed over the years to PotC is the addition of more Jonny Depp, and they might undo that now.

As far as movies... the five solid minutes of the rock telling dad jokes and no one laughing is probably the best art of the movie and it shouldn't have ended. I cannot tell you what the number would be if I could go on the Jungle Cruise while The Rock told dad jokes through the whole ride, but I do know I wouldn't have an inheritance to leave afterwards.

Jungle cruise doesnt hold up at all. The biggest issue it has going against it is that Kilimanjaro safaris in animal kingdom exists.

Its basically jungle cruise but real

In a vacuum I can see an argument. Ive been to all of the parks enough times where strictly inferior Kilimanjaro has never been remotely tempting but if that didnt exist I could see that.

Is this Disney World watered down Pirates?

Because there are two parks with both.

I'm on the West Coast and, barring some rumors not to be believed, the "coolest" part of Pirates is that it is indoors, dank, and musky... which is to say you can get out of the heat and cool off and please don't mind that smell.

Also, we both know which ride is the closest to where they serve dole whip. Let's not pretend that isn't a plus.

PotC is a great "last ride of the day", though. Near park closing there's basically no line.

Jungle Cruise is great, but you also need a good skipper or else the whole thing is waste. Unfortunately the last handful of times I've rode it the skippers have been pretty subpar...

Ride it at night when the skippers are good and they go off script a bit with the boat not full.

Anyway, love Jungle Cruise but it is a half failed attraction turned classic with clever writing while Pirate's is the gold standard for theme park attractionsm
