I dunno. Saw him a couple days ago but I think he had already passed on at that point and it was just his body clinging to life. You couldnt really rouse him and I really didnt even want them to try after seeing him.

I wouldnt say very close. Only had nice memories of the man. My mom is talking now about how he embezzled a bunch of money out of an insurance company he owned. Which is throwing me for a loop because Im 37 and Ive never heard anything about any part of that.

I think he went out of his way to be a good grandpa though. He took me to a fun air show once and we got to see the Blue Angels

Ah, yeah that must have been jarring to hear. It can be tough to reconcile knowing or hearing someone has done something wrong while knowing they've always treated you well.

Sometimes you just gotta accept people are flawed. Who knows, maybe him going out of his way to be good to his grandkids was partially motivated by guilt for what he did.

yeah my grandma is still around

some days she just sleeps but I think shes doing pretty good I think for a woman in her 80s
