Kalsi said he'd worked at Google for more than 11 years, starting as an evaluator for search quality on the trust and safety team in 2011. He said he worked at Google on an H-1B visa.

I would agree. They had plenty of time to make more permanent arrangements.

Maybe just not being a dipshit would have garnered some sympathy.

Id feel bad if it was a few years, but over a decade? Nah.

On the one hand, you want top professionals to stay in your country. On the other, he should have applied for a green card.

Question. If he had applied and gotten a green card, would he still be eligible for the H-1B visa? If not, what are the chances he would have lost his job ages ago since google wouldn't be able to use him to loophole hiring employees anymore?

I was a legal immigrant who became a citizen almost 20 years ago.

60 days seems a low time period, but I don't even know what this type of visa is, so maybe there's a reason.
