This is how i feel about Assassin Creed games. Im having fun but also bored cause its go here and do this and then go here and do this etc.

Maybe the original Wind Waker, due to the amount of time spent sailing in a gigantic sea?

pokemon

Shenmue. I absolutely love it. It's been my favorite game since I got it in 1999, but I'm not going to argue if someone watching it says it's boring.

The Sims

Metal Gear Solid, any number.

the stealth and action (if you choose or are detected), and boss fights are fun.

however, the way the stories are told, with the drawn out PowerPoint presentations, and/or monologues about whatever, tend to be pretty boring due to how long they are and how "academic" they can try to be.

Civilization

There are turns where you're not really doing anything and just waiting for progress. But it's still very addictive.

Mincraft and most building games

Like yeah the brief payoff is funny but the building is so damn repetitive

Spide4-Man PS4. It's a very fun game and there's a lot to do, but it's downfall? The missions are too repetitive!

The Sims 4. I like the game, but there's no denying that it has serious flaws and that there isn't much depth to the gameplay, which to me makes it only enjoyable in short bursts.

Animal crossing or star dew valley

Fishing games, especially highly customizable ones with a ton of stuff to buy and unlock. They define tedious but I enjoy them.

Binding of Isaac.
I'm impatient with the game and usually end up holding R until I get an acceptable starting item.
Sometimes it takes ages.

Dynasty warriors

also i feel this way with runescape. only time i had a lot of fun in it was during my staking phase when i was on a pretty consistent win streak but ofc it comes crashing down real quick lol.

grinding is only a lil fun because it motivates me to watch more shows and sometimes read fantasy books to pass the time lol. also seeing my progress on external sites like crystalmathlabs gave me a bit of a dopamine rush but its a boring process

Breath of the Wild. The longer I played the game the more I get bored with it. But man those first 20 hours were magical.

RDR2. Although I loved it and never got bored, I can totally see why other people would.

Pokemon might be a good answer. I think it can depend on your mood, and even your team. I felt it a bit when I played Violet. Grinding is boring, and if you just dont feel up to trainer battles, then its just a small obstacle course until you get to yo ur destination, with mostly juvenile puzzles (because kids need to be able to solve them). But there are parts that feel fun.

Any given Dragon Quest, and that's why it's great.
