Dude flying upside down and knows more than his PhD astrophysicist teacher, who then drives across town swerving through traffic to tell him he's the best pilot ever but she can't say that outloud or everyone will know she wants to jump his bones. And then Goose fucking dies (but they make a point of saying it wasn't Mav's fault even though his whole personality is being "dangerous") and the first thing Goose's widow says to Mav is that Mav needs to get back out there bc this movie is about Mav. Oh and then he shoots down like 5 planes at the end.

Who tf were they even fighting? Some random menace in the Indian Ocean?

Yeah, there were some unbelievable moments in that movie. Fun ride all the same. But just wait until you get a load of the sequel lol

Oh, and then at the very ending Maverick throwing Goose's dogtags into the ocean is seen as heroic instead of him giving them to the damn widow lmao
