X6 has a stage you can finish in like 5 seconds.

It really is a shame they stop you every 5 seconds to talk to you or throw an auto scroller at you, I really like how X4-6 Zero controls. X not so much but there's a cheat code that lets you start with the Ultimate Armor if you're dead set on wringing some fun out of him.

X6 is like one of those games you learn to laugh at and eventually that and the gameplay can make it fun. The translation, Gate in general, I HID MYSELF, alcoholic Sigma and so on.
Not Nightmare Mother though. That boss as Zero fucking sucks.

I think of him more as a zombie of sorts. He mostly shuffles forward grunting, sending out energy balls and waves. It's a very easy fight.

Badass remix of the MMX2 Sigma theme, though. One thing X6 did right despite its horrible design flaws was a banging soundtrack.

Gate has a sick boss theme, and a mentally sick encounter design.

this video is lacking the very good dialogue though!

Watched some X8 last night. Although it looks and feels like they're going the right directions, some of the stages still look too gimmicky for me.

I didn't really care for X8. It wasn't a disaster like X6, but it wasn't as memorable as X7, either.

Anyone interested in vanilla X speed runs, check out HideofBeast's armorless/buster-only MMX runs. They some cool shit.

X6 is easily the worst mega man game of all time.

Also if you wanna see some shit look up those X1/2/3 at the same time with a single controller for all 3 videos.

Didn't X6 let you go straight to Gate's Lab if you went to another secret area like where you got Zero and beat High Max? Or am I misremembering.
I know X5 let you fire the laser right away and go straight to the end levels.

ya, that's if you can defeat high max. you can softlock yourself on him if you don't have any of the proper special weapons. good game design, you know.

X6 is very, very well-known for its flawless design. My favorite part is when upgrades and specific parts become permanently missable because the virus enemies get ahold of the rescue targets.
