Well Republican do it, because it hurts African Americans and other minorities. And before people say I am wrong. These same people with back the blue. Litereally switched their song when their people were getting in trouble for attacking the capital. Trump who gets big boost for supporting police brutality. Even complained.

So yeah, these back the blue types love when they think other people are being hurt by police. Thinking their whiteiness( in most cases) will protect them. However they are wrong about that.

Doesn't a charge like that being his conviction also mean that the victim can't even sue the cop as an individual? Christ.

The cops and the courts are all friends. The whole criminal justice system has to be redone.

He did have qualified immunity denied for him so it's possible he can still be sued at least

That's something at least. I know some states make it so they just give out low level charges and therefore doesn't strip them of qualified immunity.

Youve suffered for the last five and half years the consequences of whats happened Your family has suffered the consequences of what happened. Youve lost a lot of things that were very important to you, Starr said. What you did with that is now what a lot people would do, you picked yourself up, found something else and are now excelling at that. So, I would see no purpose whats so ever to put you on probation I see the loss of your career as a very severe punishment thats already happened to you.
Starr did order Schneider to pay fines and fees totaling $115.
And thats going to be my sentence. I think its time for everybody to move on, Starr said.

Well ok then. And what kind of plea deal involves amending to a misdemeanor and then allowing the judge to decide sentencing? Incredibly weak all around.

Also, the victim hadn't even committed a crime. The cop approached a car that had just pulled into a parking lot. They hadn't done anything. Cop demands everyone's ID's and then drags a passenger out of the car and tortures him. There was no reason for the cop to even talk to these people, let alone start attacking one of them
