When I first played it, I thought it was just because I was coming off of Elden Ring. Now I think the combat system is just majorly flawed. I feel like if I, overweight 32 year old GameFAQs user, were slapped in the chest by a robot dinosaur tail, I would be able to get off the ground faster than Aloy does. And the tougher machines are so aggressive that it's very common for them to just knock you back down immediately after you get up.
