I really want one as well but Im waiting for the Ayaneo Next 2 or whatever since that one has mouse trackpads like the steam deck

I heard that the screen is portrait native and then rotated horizontal, instead of horizontal native, which causes some issues with some games apparently

I don't really like trackpads that much tbh. I'll likely use either the touchscreen or a joystick-to-mouse setup.

I have heard about the screen issue in relation to most handheld PCs (apart from the Gpd Win 4 and the Steam Deck). I understand it's fairly rare that it actually causes problems, so I can always just play games it causes issues with on an external monitor. I bought the dock as well; my logic being that I only ever use my laptop as basically a desktop with a battery anyway, so I dock this thing to use as a PC, and then handheld mode is for gaming. I likely won't miss using it as an actual laptop (and if I do need that, I can just... Get my laptop back out).

It's also in a way good for me if I have a device that's prone to that screen issue - I do a bit of game development (just hobby level stuff, my most notable projects are a couple of Lemmings clones for fanmade levels) and so I can see if they have issues with such screens and even hopefully fix them.

I heard the trackpads are great for strategy games and such. Like perhaps Civ 6, Frostpunk, XCOM 2 etc

I don't tend to play too many of those. It's usually platformers or RPGs for me.
