Worked with her for a while last year. Started talking a bit, things progressed and we hung out a few times. We expressed an interest in each other but she was promoted above me a short bit after and she wasn't comfortable with the personal/professional barrier.

I understood and we went our separate ways. Definitely can't hold it against someone for that since work shit can get messy as hell, especially with an worker/superior.

No hard feelings in either direction.

Anyway I left this particular job after the holidays since I needed something a little less encompassing to fit around my college schedule.

Sometime last week she matched with me on Tinder. Don't remember swiping on her but Iunno.

She hasn't reached out and neither have I. Actually bumped into her late last week through my new job (same industry, different business) and we chatted very briefly in passing but it never came up since like we were both working and had shit to do lol.

Booting around whether to reach out or not. She was great and super nice, friendly, respectful, interesting, into the same stuff as me, good communicator, and most importantly: had a ridiculously nice butt.

Downside is, as mentioned above, even though I don't work with her I would still potentially see her from time to time due to working in the same industry.

God I'm smooth with dating like 90% of the time but when it's someone I actually like I turn into a nervous teenager again lol

Honestly if the reason she gave was genuine and she was uncomfortable because of professional factors, then go for it. Just hope she wasn't using that as an excuse to distance herself. Won't know unless you try.

Honestly unless my read on her is off she seems pretty genuine.

Though for a while I did kinda write it off as "excuse to distance" but if she matched then I guess that's not the case?

Yeah I definitely didn't blame her for it at all. And she was super nice about it too. Didn't string me along or anything, was super clear and polite about it, etc

So we chattered a bit on FB and I assumed things were going well but she's not in my matches anymore.

Weird part is she would've unmatched before she sent a message on FB to keep the conversation going. So it would've been like "unmatch him on Tinder then message him on FB"

It does have a limited amount of matches per day but I don't think unmatching affects that

First step: Don't make it weird. Don't overreact. Don't ask confrontational questions. Let the ball be in her court. If she wants to talk about it she probably will.

She unmatched because youre already talking to her on another app, most people chat on tinder until theyre comfortable somewhere else. Its a good sign if anything, she knows you have her attention now
