Im not saying theyre right on all on all of those beliefs, but there are plenty of reasons why someone can justify voting republican without be evil, homophobic, or racist. It just depends on where a voters priorities are. I know a lot of people who are single issue voters and will only vote GOP because they dont want more strict gun control laws even if theyre pro choice, pro gay marriage etc.

Because they have zero compassion for other people when there's some politician out there promising to cut their taxes.

They'd support the deportation of minorities if their favorite candidates showed how much money it could put back in their wallets.

I always love when I bring up some horrific anti-LGBTQ policy or belief, and some chud will try to tell me how we have bigger problems with the economy. I'm not sure how NOT restricting the freedoms of LGBTQ people is incompatible with fixing the economy anyway, but it's not like they value me as a person. They'll just wonder why I'm selfish enough to place my "personal choices" over the good of the country, ironic from a people who value individual freedom above all. Or they'll just say I'm a necessary sacrifice.

Opposition to school choice is a euphemism for not letting private schools pilfer the public pocket and leave even less funding for public schools. The democratic party stance is to fund public schools such that private schools don't have a leg up.

On the national level I might agree with you. Republicans probably wont do shit.

But on a local level us New Yorkers must vote republican. The democratic shithead mayor and governor enacted a no bail law. There have been attempted kidnappings and assaults in my community but the offenders are released soon afterwards without any bail. Most of the victims are minorities. Fuck this shit keep criminals locked up.
