Obviously the NES / SNES would be my favorites, but I don't think I actually got those for Christmas (NES maybe, SNES definitely not).

I definitely got a lot of mileage out of my Talkboy as a kid, and that was more than likely a Christmas present.

Even in the 80s this toy was suspect. I remember some kid brought it in my after school daycare and the teachers let everyone look at it and then promptly whisked it away to some closet.

Got an NES, Tamogatchi, and lots of TMNT and Power Ranger figures. Sister got a Furby.

Also had a ton of Pokemon cards(at one point I had the entire base set first edition) but that was stuff I got myself when I was playing it competitively.

I have multiple on that list so cant choose a single one.

I had Atari 2600, He-Man, The Transformers and Rubiks Cube.

I didn't get them for Christmas or Birthdays. I bought them myself with my pocket money (allowance).

^THIS.
I don't normally complain about polls, but this poll has SEVERAL upon SEVERAL problems.
I'm not going to deal with that fucked up poll, but I will say this:

The most popular toys and video games I received were:

1) He-man / Masters of the Universe (my favorite being the entire Evil Horde during one Christmas. I remember sitting on Santa's lap at a Macy's store and asking him for Hordak and he looks at me with a confused look and says "Hordak?!?!?")

https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/user_image/9/2/2/AAZVFDAAEG66.jpg

2) G.I Joe... which is not on the poll, but should be due to it's high popularity during the 80's (I received the Defiant Shuttle Complex, which is this GIANT double space shuttle and it's giant station area. My parents had to put it together since the damn thing was as tall as me at the time. LOL. I just played with the two G.I Joe figures the space shuttle came with while they spent two hours putting the damn shuttles and station together. LMAO).

https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/user_image/9/2/3/AAZVFDAAEG67.jpg

3) Sega Genesis... which is also not on the poll, but should be (Genesis was actually A LOT more popular than the SNES in the United States for the majority of the 1990's). Sonic the Hedgehog and Streets of Rage!!! I had those two games with my Sega Genesis on Christmas.

https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/user_image/9/2/4/AAZVFDAAEG68.jpg

4) Gameboy... It came with Tetris (which bored the shit out of me after ten minutes) and I also received Super Mario Land (which is a very fun game).

Somehow, the only toy listed in the poll that I ever personally owned was a Rubik's Cube. Didn't ever own any of the early NES systems because I had Atari 400/800 in the 80's and Sega Genesis/Saturn in the 90's.

I didn't get the original Megatron, but I received Shockwave instead (he transformed into a futuristic looking Laser gun. The gun made a really fun laser sound when you pulled the trigger):

Optimus Prime was that toy that I asked for for years and eventually got. Got almost a full year in before I began growing out of action figures.

I also had a couple of TMNT toys (including a 24 inch talking one), a Super Soaker 50, and my first console, the SNES.

Bit surprised that Hot Wheels, Matchbox, or Micro Machines aren't there because me and all the other kids my age (including more than a few girls) played with them all the time.

From that list, just My Little Pony, my brother had a rubik's cube though and he-man stuff - I didn't like the look of cabbage patch dolls so never wanted those, both my sister and I had Rainbow Brite, Tiny Tears, Silvanian Families and dollhouses and tea sets, we also got games like Don't Spill The Beans and Guess Who, we loved those!

That seems like a great price for any Optimus tbh, even more if it's one of the expensive ones that can go for hundreds

Either way, I wish that I still had mine for sentiment

I think my SNES and Game Gear are all the toys I have left from childhood
