Which part alludes to this? This was announced right around the time he was getting into legal trouble so I really doubt he will appear. Anything is possible I suppose.

At the end of Dino Fury, Zayto gets an upgrade/color swap, leaving the red position vacant.

That's Amelia, aka best girl, aka Dino Fury Pink. Guess she got a promotion now that the leader has a new costume.

Anyways I was pleasantly surprised with how strong the finish for Dino Fury was so Im enthusiastically looking forward to this.

I need to finish Dino Fury but I'm surprised it took this long to get a female Red Ranger. Although in Time Force, the Pink Ranger was basically the leader.

It's just a side-effect of the franchise being a toy commercial for 6-year-old boys. Apparently female characters don't sell well to that demo, and red is supposed to be the "face" of each season.

But yeah, couple of times one of the non-red rangers is the actual leader and it's occasionally been a girl, but even when that happens, red is usually treated as the "field" leader, aka, when all the actual cool stuff is happening that makes kids want to buy toys >_>

True. Red is always the most powerful (of the 5 Rangers) and gets the best upgrades.

Cat. She was pink ranger until Turbo after Kimberly. Replaced by Cassie and Ashley when Tommy retired with Aisha in Turbo. Think Adam stopped too at that point.

They were the A-squad SPD rangers. But they disappear and we follow the more destined, but also more dysfunctional, B-squad for the series. A-Squad returns at the end having joined the main bad guy.

I ran across a video recently about how Power Rangers fans are annoyed by the constant MMPR gawk. As someone who stopped watching almost 2 decades ago, I can see why. There have been countless iterations since the original.

Then again, it's probably the most successful part of the franchise ( or at least the most acclaimed) so it's understandable. Even I get hype seeing the OG helmet designs.

I think what JDF said happened was that he went to Saban and asked for raises for everyone, and he refused and had them replaced.

Props to Hasbro for actually trying to do something about "SPD takes place in 2025" by setting up its predecessor organization.

I mean I wouldve been content just accepting that this is just some goofy kids show with dubious continuity, but they're trying I guess lol

It's pretty crazy to think that Zack/Walter Jones has never come back in all this time. He was great in the OG show. I never appreciated his presence/character until I rewatched as an adult

Well he did voice a monster in Lost Galaxy and he along with Austin St John hosted the Lost Episode special.

The way the whole pay dispute was handled was atrocious. A whole bunch of episodes filled with camera trickery and delaying the power transfer.

Yeah, I didn't notice it as a kid, but rewatching it as an adult knowing what had happened was pretty interesting

The pay dispute episodes were kind of funny after a while because it was always the same thing. "Jason, Zack, and Trini fought the monster alone and got their asses kicked. Now the rest of you go save the day"

And even if he wasn't on probation, if they're offering the same amount they tried to get him back with for Megaforce I think it was ($2000) I doubt he'd take it. These guys just love lowballing the talent that helped make the brand popular in the first place.

He once said in an interview that they invite him back to this or the other every year, and he usually just turns them down.

Kimberly alluded to them not offering enough money for her to come back for this. She's been working steadily more than most of the rest of the cast, so she can probably afford to turn down roles. Most of these people seem to make their money from going to cons at this point.

Same here. The second episode after Tommy became the White Ranger was the last episode Austin, Walter and Thuy filmed before leaving. After that, Jason, Zack and Trini didn't hang around the other three as much. Hardly appeared unmorphed and when they did, it was either footage from previous episodes or they'd be shown from behind or from afar since those were stand-ins.

The other three would sometimes wear the same clothes that they wore in those past episodes so that the footage would match up. Which was why Tommy sometimes wore green even though he was now the White Ranger.

He did come back for an episode in Beast Morphers, so that's something

Yeah, I guess he had some extra free time that year. During Megaforce, he was stationed in the middle east as a military paramedic, so he couldn't leave to film anything or it would violate his contract, so I guess that wasn't the case anymore by the time or Beast Morphers?

EDIT: Also, discussing this is how I just learned Austin St John's name is actually Jason irl.
