Has there been any news whatsoever on season 3? Crazy that there's still not even a release date in sight, a lot more time has passed between now and season 2 compared to the time between season 1 and season 2.

Waiting for this and season 2 of Severance is just getting too long.

I certainly hope they dont but it does seem that way. To be fair they are at vastly different points in their life. Roy just retired from a long career and Keeley is having a really successful start up business.

All I know is the show is about a dude with a mustache

should be out soonish, a work buddy of mine did VFX work for s3 and he wrapped on it not to long ago.

Danny and Jamie are strikers.

Sam is a Midfielder but in the start of the show he was a right back i believe. They get mad when Ted puts him in the mid early on

Yeah that makes the 2 aces metaphor they say make sense. I think Rupert mentions Sam was on defense before, in the darts scene

Indeed... what I like about that is, you've never known someone like that? Hell, you ever been that? Someone nervous or dunked on constantly, getting a little bit of success and letting it go to their head, while simultaneously still feeling like that same insecure dweeb who is terrified of someone eventually calling them out on it?

Nate has always been a small man, and is a pretty in-your-face example of "want to judge a man's worth, see how he treats his lessers not his equals" like how he keeps yelling at and insulting the new towel boy. Needs to be knocked down a peg by another evil dude like Rupert or season 1 jaime.

My only gripe is that the nathan heel turn seemed to happen way to fast.

Roku keeps advertising s3 coming soon but there's never a release date. I only have Apple TV + for that show.

Oh really? How long have you been seeing that? If its been advertising it as coming soon for not too long then maybe it is coming, but if its been a long time then maybe its just a placeholder thing.

I read recently that season 3 is Spring 2023, so maybe April. I think they are done shooting and about done editing, so maybe sooner.

Oh boy now Im stoked, hopefully its out soon.

Also I highly recommend giving Severance a chance if you havent already, since you still have the subscription you might as well give it a shot. Only 1 season but its probably tied with Ted Lasso as one of my favorite shows to come out the last few years.

its not the main focus like it is later but theres hints and stuff early and then it just steamrolls

He does the "triple substitution" in Episode 6, they lay into it pretty heavy in the next episode with his dad, and then it's hardly mentioned in episodes 8-10. He then goes full heel for the last 2 episodes.

Theres hints back to season 1 about it. Also the episode before is when he tries to get the table which is a big window into it.

Yeah, but he doesn't really show the signs of being a "bad guy" until after Episode 6.

He's just an insecure dweeb before that. Unless I completely missed the signs.

Heh you definitely missed a lot of signs, but that's okay it gives you an excuse to rewatch the show once more!

You'll notice so many things, from the obvious like Nate trying to act like a tough guy and insult Colin or the new kitman, to little hurt glances and expressions whenever Ted chooses say Roy over Nate, at least in Nate's eyes.

Hell, this extended way back to season 1 as well, you saw some glimpses of it. What I like is the season 2 premiere where Nate's suggestion for Danny Rojas to get over his yips is to "show him his goddamn paycheck" and it's just pathetically cringe how he's trying to act all aggressive presented in the best way.

Nate cares more about appearances, like how he's angry that Ted doesn't display that picture of them together in his office, not knowing (or caring) that Ted keeps that picture by his bed and wakes up to it every day. Or how he's upset Ted chose Roy to lead practice in his absence instead of "Nate the Great"
