I grew up about an hour away from New Orleans and it was pretty fun, although I didnt really go down there much after Hurricane Katrina. I really liked the street musicians, but its sort of rough down there and you should pretty much keep around Bourbon Street.

I was there a few years ago and it was a great time except when the homeless would spot you.

Do you live in Louisiana or just near it? I'm from Louisiana. A bit further from New Orleans, somewhere near Lafayette.

Tie the Carolinas

Any place else is the deep south just aint for me. And The Carolinas are questionable. But once you go West of ATL it becomes like 1950

South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana. Some would also say that the Florida Panhandle and Jacksonville area are Deep South as well.

Main reason I got interested in the city is because of Interview With A Vampire. Ever since I read those books, specifically the first one which is heavily involved with that city...I wished I could go there

I grew up in Baton Rouge (about 23 years or so), but my family moved out west about a decade ago. I remember there was a really fun Mardi Gras parade in Lafayette that we used to go to, but I cant remember the name. Those were some good times for sure.

He probably means the stuff like Ted Cruz going to Cancun when the state froze and the independent power grid failed. Then they charged everyone thousands of dollars and they had to pay it. The governments failure to upgrade the system and the fact that they let the companies send out bills costing tens of thousands of dollars is one big issue worth mentioning.
