How do you make your coffee?

I own a keurig and clever coffee dripper, but I primarily use a french press.

What about you?

I buy these Folgers things that's coffee in a bag, like tea. Makes a decent cup of coffee (for Folgers anyway). I used to use a drip machine but don't drink coffee nearly as much anymore. I like them because it's individually wrapped and doesn't take long to "brew".

I have a pretty protracted coffee ritual. Bt specific beans, grind to a specific fineness, use filtered water boiled to a specific temperature, steep for a certain amount of time

I have a special coffee maker. You pour whole beans into the top, it grinds them down and puts them into the basket, then brews normally. Best coffee ever.

I do not give a flying big one about all those stupid fancy coffee machines to make coffee when instant and a kettle is all you need.

not gonna lie, even though i use a french press, i dont do most of the formalities. i dont see what the temperature of the water is, i dont care what type of beans i use (i dont notice a difference between pre-ground and beans i have to grind myself), and i dont pour water in twice. i just pour the water in once, wait a few minutes and then serve.

I drink my coffee black. Not sure what it is, I just don't notice a difference. I may have to try them side by side and compare. It might be because I usually buy shitty brands.

Go to a fancy cafe, buy a bag of light or medium roast beans that's been roasted within the last fortnight. Then grind those.

If I want full body, French Press. If I want a very clean and crisp brew, pour-over. Hot season, coldbrew.

Remember, depending on how you intend to brew, you want to adjust how fine you grind your beans.

So I looked up the aeropress because I was curious. So apparently the big difference between this and a French press is you don't have to let the water soak in the coffee ground? Aren't you supposed to let the water soak? I would be surprised if this results in better tasting coffee, but I'm not an expert.

  1. microwave chai and water for 3 minutes
  2. add 4-6 teaspoons of ground coffee to chai
  3. stir thoroughly
  4. use knife to move chai bag along the inside of the cup to scrub away ground coffee particles from the coffee surface / cup edge i'll be sipping from so i don't sip ground coffee particles
  5. remaining ground coffee particles eventually settle at the bottom

The big difference is the filter tbh. The coffee should soak for a little bit it doesnt take as much time as a French press.
