That's about 7 a minute. I think if you were smart about it and paced yourself you could manage to do more than you think

Even at my best shape in the army for the 2 minute test.. I would do 80 in a minute or so and stand up. They dont feel good at all

Id think id be dying after 100 and i dont know the time frame....

Also, at that point, the correct reaction is a mass walkout.

One mother claims her son was forced to do 300 to 400 push-ups with no water breaks, according to the Dallas Morning News, but she did not want to be identified for fear of retaliation.

What more could they do to her son?

If I pyramid up to 10 and back in an hour that's an easy 105.

Can't really have a team if they're too beat up and dehydrated not shocked

Hmm, I was seeing a bunch of "I'm in my 40s and can do 150 pushups in 20 minutes, how can these teenage football players not handle that?" type of comments.

I saw those, but they were being criticized as well, and the others were about how that's abuse/stupid. You're never gonna get close to perfection with literal NY Post commenters.

When I was in the Army I could knock out 60 without barely taking a breath, but Id be pretty spent. Pretty sure Ive done a couple hundred during PT overall, but never 400 without water or respite.

I would assume the military is better at conditioning stamina than a high school football coach, but who knows.

If I took breaks and spread it out over the course of an hour, I could probably do 100, but I'd feel like hell afterwards.

So I was wondering just how difficult 400 in an hour would be, and of course their situation would be different I assume, but I was able to knock out 315 without any problem.
I did them in sets of 5 at the start of each minute, getting approx 45- 50 seconds rest between each set. My muscles actually didnt feel any fatigue until well into the 60 minutes. For my last set I did 15.
Next month I'll actually challenge myself and do sets of 10 for a total of 600.

Who said the retaliation would be against her son?

I could definitely do 100 in an hour. That is just 5 sets of 20. Or even 10 sets of 10.

But 400? No way. Even spaced out, youd need to do one every 9 seconds over an hour.
