...it's one episode a week.

I've been looking forward to it, though.

Good. Dropping the whole thing at once is a terrible idea.

tbh, I don't use Crunchyroll, so I didn't know it also aired on it.

I watched the first season, and it was pretty decent. The one issue I take with it is I wish there was more consistency with characters? A lot of times characters will simply act in the way the plot demands rather than what would be consistent with their established characters. The biggest culprits here are Askeladds men, who teeter (at the behest of the plot) between the most cunning, fierce, and loyal fighting force among the Danes, and a disorganized, panicked pack of cowardly traitors at the drop of a hat. Prince Cnut himself even undergoes a sudden change in character that doesnt really jive with the slow burn character development we see in other characters like Thorfinn or Askeladd. This isnt uncommon in anime, I suppose, but it definitely stands out as a glaring weakness in what is an otherwise well-made show.

It happens throughout the entirety of the series.

Don't pick up the manga and read ahead.

It's a series about vikings that attempts to be pretty grounded, so when people start doing superhuman shit they stand out even more.
