I took a 10 month long break due to Elden Ring and other games coming out. I'm ready to go back in. What are you doing in the game lately? I just found out Praetorium is a 4 man now and much shorter. That's crazy

You gonna use the new hairdo?

right now im grinding out the items needed for ShB resistance weapons. im at the second to last stage, where you need 180 items from Raids and/or Zadnor. doing Zadnor since it's faster.

also using the exp from the fates to level a reaper. thinking i might go back to leveling a white mage, but i dunno. healing in this game seems tough. in WoW i could just focus on keeping the health bars green, but in this game i gotta DPS too!? ugh!

Jumped from Balmung over to Seraph when it opened up and started an FC with my gf. We're trying to get it to launch but balancing running an FC along with our personal lives is more difficult than we imagined.

Other than that, doing masked carnival for last 2 BLU spells, getting our crafters/gatherers geared up and gonna try to actually complete the current Savage tier.

Left Balmung? Interesting. Didn't like the RP nature of it?

Just been working on getting some other jobs to 90, but I'll be doing the new stuff tomorrow on patch day.

Kind of excited for 6.3 because the 12 is a storyline I've really been looking forward to and so I can get back to Dragooning.

Going to Uldah for any event was incredibly cringe plus the housing situation sucked. It's nice to help start up a new server and experience that growing culture. Balmung was cool, overall prefer Crystal over the other DCs, but Seraph is pretty much a Balmung-lite

I just started the post EW story. Real curious how they're gonna get me invested after such a big pay off tbh. Part of the reason I stepped away was because EW ended so strongly

That's where I'm at. I might come back for the next expansion, but I finished EW with the ShB DRK quest you get after doing the role quests. I got hit hard just looking back at the several hundred hours I spent on getting here along with the themes of the DRK storyline. Was just a really good place to find closure, and I'm glad I took the initial plunge on a whim.

You really dont have to, the story is very self-contained and only takes the assets and "vibe" from Automata and Drakengard.

However I still recommend playing it because its a fucking amazing game.

This game looks amazing after spending over 2 years consumed by WoW I would rather not do that again.

6.3 going crazy with these graphics

I'm far into 6.2 now. I can't say I expected the VOID to be the big thing about these post EW patches but that's cool. About time we learned what really goes on there. Straight up using Golbez and the 4 Archfiends? Let's do it. I wonder what the deal with this version of Golbez will be. Is he still mind controlled like in FF4? Does he have any ties to the moon? Probably not

This new variant dungeon thing is pretty frustrating. At least doing it solo. Like, the bosses aren't *hard*, but they have so much HP and dying makes you not want to start all over again. I was fighting the final boss of the middle path for like 10 minutes and noticed he hadn't even hit 50% HP, then died, and just quit.

I only care for story reasons, but I don't see myself completing it anytime soon.

Dunno how to make it go faster. I have ilv620 equipment and the food buff on.

Maybe it's not actually 10+ minutes, but it sure does feel like it.

I need to reinstall and get back into the game now I'm essentially at the end of the free trial. Just need to find a month I'll have time to actually get through the expansions on to make the most use of the free month.

Then decide when/how much I want to continue paying for it.

I did that solo once. Went left and fought the mouse. The final boss of that route took me like 5 tries. I advise not doing it solo.

There's also apparently 13 different routes with the 13th being hidden behind some Zelda tier bullshit

Yeah took me like 5 tries against the mouse too. Basically an hour of my life. Not fun stuff.

ah yeah that looks like a decent method when you have a full bank of allowances

am i stupid for grinding fates to get from 87-90? i want to max out shared fate anyway

It works if you can put up with the boredom, and the shared fate stuff is a bonus. Bring your chocobo as well so they get exp.

Duty finders still best for leveling though.

So is that an MMO?

You got stunned? Well now you're silenced and can't do anything and even if you live you can get stunned and turned into a doll or whatever and oh, they can repeat that loop indefinitely every 40 seconds. Makes it so the only casters worth playing are either black mage or white mage because the others just lag behind once they start getting targeted but those two can dish damage and ailments while fleeing. -_- But somehow the devs think that phlegma is too strong so Sage has the lowest HP tier alongside Black Mages. But oh, wait. No escape tools. -_-

Can't you use Icarus on allies? It depends on someone being near but it's better than nothing

I hate the PVP I played it for a bit to try to get all the stupid mounts but I gave up because boy is it not fun

I've been gathering mats for like 6 hours now. Almost got all the levequests materials to get from 80-90 for all crafting. Also about to clear 90 on btn and min.

I should probably level my combat classes...

I should finish my climb to rank 15 tomorrow and I don't necessarily need the outfit so I think I'm good. ^^

Edit: oh and I did the math, even if you lost every match it should take no more than 58 of them to get the mount.
