AITA is really just a collection of Unreal Represent topics with marginally better dialogue.

AITA and Relationship Advice are both mostly fake stories.

Double standards are fun!

AITA has about as many real stories in it as antiwork has real screenshot text conversations with bosses, which is to say basically none.

The other day there was one that was akin to a woman being mad that her family was upset at her husband bullying her brother with jokes about the brothers adopted kid, and that obvious upvote whoring got 28k upvotes.

People overstate how many AITA posts are fake imo. There are plenty of people who do write fakes (and basically everyone who makes a follow up post is making it up), but I think a lot of people just do the same thing that people in real life do when they tell a story where you're supposed to decide if they are in the wrong: present it in a way that overfocuses on the details that they think makes them in the right in a way that's extra dramatic.

That board is kinda weird. A LOT of posts are ones where OP clearly isn't the asshole and you're wondering why do you even need to ask. Then you have posts where I understand where OP is coming from but the comments act like they are the devil, then you get posts where somebody was like "My cousin made fun of me once so I told the entire family at thanksgiving they are having an affair AITA???" with everybody calling them not the AH and not even thinking the reaction is a little much.

It's kind of a wild board and I kinda like it because there is so much going on sometimes. Though I haven't really noticed what OP here is talking about but I will keep an eye out for it.

People harp on the fake content so much but to me the biggest problem of that sub is the people in the comments.

The people who go there LOVE to play judge, jury and executioner but clearly havent talked to a real person in 15 years.

its so cringey how desperate they are to paint someone in a bad light and assume shit that was never said.

There was a post where a chick listened to her friends and dumped her bf because he had a foot fetish. She then later regretted doing that and begged her bf to take her back because despite that fetish he was still a decent guy.

I found the post about the wedding dress. My thoughts are that she isn't the AH, because she was invited by the Ex, and the bride needs to get over it(I understand this is her wedding day, but I don't really care). Then I see photos of the dress and, I am a male and have only been to a few weddings, am kinda thinking WHO CARES. I get you aren't supposed to wear a white dress if you aren't the bride, but I can't tell the dress OP wore from anything else.

Usually once you read 'em you understand how it could be what you didn't think to expect, but a cursory glance we have
