Poll of the Day > Coming up with a game idea, anyone have advice how to plot out a story?

so I've got some concept art, some maps, and music, but I'm struggling with coming up with a plot. I have scenes I'd like to use and ideas for those scenes, but I have no idea how to get them all out into one document. Anyone have any tips to make it easier?

Just copy the plot of another famous work

Start by trying to write the premise in a concise couple of paragraphs. Think of it as if you were writing a pitch.

Every story needs a solid beginning, middle and end so you want to identify what those would be in your story. If you can't figure out what they would be then you need to think it out more

One idea i like thats not used a whole lot. Is the interrogation style method

basically the protaganist or buddy/sqaud mate tells a higher up or media the story while the other folks question the story

one humorous style was Unmetal a metal gear inspired parody game. Bout a pow who was innocent
