I forgot to return my copy of ace venture pet detective two when nature calls the book with scenes from the movie back to my elementary school library at the end of 3rd grade. I was afraid I'd be arrested for grand theft, so I disposed of the evidence in the hedges of some neighbor's yard on my walk home.

Every day until I graduated elementary school in fifth grade I walked by the slowly decaying evidence, wondering when I'd truly be in the clear. I moved away a long time ago, but I went back in my 30s to the crime scene and it was finally gone
