After all the bullshit they forced teams to go through in 2020 and last year because of covid in order to play a complete schedule, they've now suddenly decided it's acceptable to not, and they've come up with some batshit stupid provisions should certain scenarios in the playoffs occur.

Just play a special game on a random day. Make up that last week game on next Wednesday or something

That'd not really how it works. You need several days off just to recover/prepare for the next game. Like there is a reason Thursday night games are generally low-quality.
