Lettuce, its just crispy water. Don't get me wrong, I like a salad now and then, but I keep my salad separate from my burgers. And if I'm being honest, freshly grown cherry tomatoes just hit different than store bought tomatoes.

For me, it's Onions. I hate onions...

For a burger, I wouldn't put onions, tomatoes, or lettuce, though... I hate onions, don't like raw tomatoes (I only like tomatoes for soup, or made into a sauce), and feel indifferent to lettuce... Like I don't hate it, but I also don't like it... It's just kind of there... The other stuff I'm fine with...

For my preference, none of it. Gimme mine with bacon and grilled mushrooms.

I chose tomatoes because they can make the bun soggy. The rest I can take off on my own, like onions or lettuce, or deal with like pickles, ketchup, mustard or mayo.

Some recipes of yellow mustard use mayonnaise as a base. There's no one correct way to make yellow mustard.

Also just using mustard and vinegar will probably get you something closer to those mustard packets in Chinese food than it will the American mass produced yellow mustard.
