The Anime board here is beyond dead. I wonder if anyone has a discord invite for a good anime server or can show me a more alive forum. I currently just got back into anime Demon Slayer for one and starting Death Note. Thanks for any help

The anime board isn't dead. It's just needlessly aggressive and overall unfriendly

People aren't talking enough about Blue Lock and I'm tired of it.

DBZ yes and I got Dragon Ball Super Set on the way from amazon. Is it still the best fighting anime? I recall yu yu hackasho being great to fill my fighting needs not sure whats a good fighting one currently

If anyone has a suggestion for a good comedy or slice of life anime I'm all ears. I just picked up a shooting game for Switch, thats alot like centipede called "Miss Kobayashis Dragon Maid" but couldn't find the show while at bestbuy.

also might help for show suggestions I used to watch alot of action. Black Lagoon, Cowboy bebop, Gun sword. Anything like that would be up my alley and chose deathnote seemed like horror scifi? Just got it based on the Cover

Gurren Lagann should be right up your alley. Something like Chainsaw Man, Parasyte The Maxim or Tokyo Ghoul all of which combine body horror with traditional shonen fighting anime like DBZ and the like could be your thing as well.

If you want good Horror, watch Parasyte -the maxim-.

If you want a good Slice of Life, you can't go wrong with "The Beast Player Erin".

I honestly dropped it after 2 episodes. I was expecting an actual body horror anime and it quickly turned into a fighting anime with a slight horror theme to it. I was expecting something closer to Junji Ito's work.
It's crazy how there are a million anime and yet barely any straight up horror.

Don't let that deter you from watching it though, TC. The 2 episodes I saw are enjoyable, I just wasn't looking for yet another "hero must fight" anime to add to the pile.

I havent watched any anime for years, with the exception of Chainsaw Man

i wanna get into it again though. Someone suggested Bocchi the Rock so Ill watch that. Someone else also suggested Bakemonogatari

I can't think of any straight horror animes, except some from the 80s which were pretty bad (most newer ones are either comedic such as Pet Shop of Horrors, or quite Action-based such as Parasyte, 3x3 Eyes, etc...) -- I'd say the first episode of Shiki was straight up horror, but then the rest of the episodes become a lot more action-y.

I'm patiently waiting for Uzumaki and Junji Ito: Maniac which should both arrive this year

The whole series is available to stream on Crunchyroll if you're fine with streaming anime rather than physical releases. For some other comedy and slice-of-life recommendations:

I love anime. I collect it pretty hardcore as a matter of fact. When it comes to manga, my baby is more of an expert. Especially horror stuff

The last animes I finished was DBS, OPM season 2 and I'm currently watching Bleach OTYW. Kinda embarrassed about not keeping up with anime.

This. It's also the only other board that gives hot takes like Marjuanna being worst than CP because Japan is more strict about drugs than CP apparently.
