My salary isn't getting me anywhere near a Cristal bottle (for example)

Looked up what a bottle costs and I could afford it if I didn't put anything into savings the month I'd buy it. Savings is already decent for an emergency situation.

I could afford it, but I'd never spend that much on alcohol.

Also, I only drink maybe a handful of times a year and it's never enough to get drunk.

D, but I very rarely drink so I don't care.

Depends how high end we're talking. "Could" and "would" are two different things though; I'll avoid the absolute dirt cheap crap, but I'm quite fine with "normal" alcohol.

Im no top shelf guy, but I dont do gutter shots either. There are plenty of affordable quality options for any kind of booze.

Kouldn't guess how much alcohol is, cheap, expensive, or otherwise, seeing as I neither drink nor buy the stuff.

The most Ive ever spent is like $80 on a bottle of Lagavulin 16.

I dont spend big on alcohol.

I mean, I spend like $60-$70 on Islay whisky every now and again.

If im grabbing liquor its probably going to be a $40-50 bottle
For beer i dont really look at the price but a $16 four pack doesnt phase me
I could afford more but i feel like its diminishing returns on liquor and beer doesnt really have more expensive stuff
Tho i guess every so often i'll grab like a 120minute dfh ipa and thats like $10 for one

The most expensive thing I buy on a semi regular basis is Empress 1908 which is about $40 for a fifth. I could buy something more expensive, but most of the time I just get buy with the cheap stuff like Smirnoff or New Amsterdam

Most expensive I've bought was a hand-bottled "special reserve" blend of Bacard rum that I bought at Casa Bacard in Puerto Rico. Apparently you can only get it there.

It was like $220 or so.

Nah

I don't really have a refined taste for anything that isn't beer or sake though so I wouldn't be able to 'appreciate' most of it.

If I wanted to....I guess....but much of it is over priced.

on the rare occasion I drink I either get some hard seltzer thats on sale or go with a $6 bottle of four freedoms vodka that I use to mix with water and drink mix like mio

They all taste great after a few runs through a Brita filter.

I once bought a $100 bottle of sake for my birthday.
It was pretty great, but its not something I would do regularly even if I could afford it.

This topic is tough to answer because high end could mean so much when it comes to alcohol.

I dont regularly drink crazy stuff but my staples arent bottom of the barrel either. Basel Haydens has been the go to drink lately and thats pretty affordable. I can afford much better but dont because its not worth it for me and I like BH.

I did get a $350 bottle of wine recently. Expensive for me but nothing for high end wine drinkers. (It was delicious). For New Years I got $60 Champaign because I dont drink it and went with someones recommendation. That was good too.

Every once in a while Ill treat myself to a $50 bottle of mead

Smirnoff is my personal favorite although most people put it just above the bottom shelf $5 vodka for a 1.75 litre

That's what I'm trying to do. Right now I've got some special reserve Bacard, Grey Goose, Wild Turkey, Crown Royal, 1800 and I guess some wines for the wife.

Next summer I want to build a small wet bar in my basement where these things will ultimately go.

C. I have over a thousand dollars worth of just tequila in my billiard room. I think its 6-7 bottles.

Smirnoff is Meh....Titos is overhyped, way too expensive and not that good. ((Plus their Lable is completely wrong)) And Ciroc, is just playing for the name.

You really don't have to over think Vodka, it's a neutral Spirit. It's ethynol and water.

If you fine Pristine it is good, from Ukraine and made with Ukrainian Weat.
I've talked to the owner of the company many times.

Sobieski is good and not too expensive.

If you can find Platnum vodka that is a real steal for the price.

Plus there are a bunch of other boutique vodkas.

I enjoy good Tequila, Scotch, and Wine.

Used to be more into craft beer but for whatever reason beer, particularly hoppy beer, destroys me now.

Wine is severely underrated imo. If you think you don't like wine you need to find a friend that knows what to look for in a wine.

How regularly? Like just for this weekend and never again? Sure. Every week or so? Hell nah.

I do not have any pictures of it on my cell phone I can put up there, but it's a nice refreshing Gin to put in tonic, it kinda tastes like wet grass but the color changing is cool from a science perspective

Ya, I am completely fasinated by it.
I will probably pick a bottle at some point.
I'm surprised our place hasn't had a tasting of it. ~Kinda silly they haven't really.
