So I thought I'd just ask here. I go for a sleep study in the end of this month. My first time doing such a thing. I was browsing a little about it online, seeing how the process may go and such. But I wondered personally have any of you ever had one done and how did it go for you? Thanks

I had gel glue on arms chest head + on my hair. It was to keep probes/sensors in place. I followed what tech said and no problems removing it in the early morning.

I think everytime i snored, i needed to wake up. Some dude had nightmares in his study down the hall the night mine happened and he was screaming when he fell asleep. Felt bad for the dude.
Well, every time i was asked to wake up. Tech didnt need to step in my room unless it was to adjust my mask.

Tbh i didnt sleep over 2 hr in my sleep study. It was lile from 10pm - 5am. I left the place around 4am i think
Report the following business day confirmed my sleep apnea.

I have a consultation in February. Did a small one while in the hospital that said I had mild apnea but needed full study to get more information. Finally getting around to it (aka have insurance). Hope the consult goes well and the sleep study, if that is what the Dr. thinks I need.

Thanks for the replies. I got a call today from a girl who works there saying my insurance denied the in office overnight study since they didn't think it was medically necessary. But they did approve the at home study. So she said February 8th I could go there to pick up the gear for it. Kinda disappointed because besides just seeing if I have sleep apnea or such sleep disorders, I was looking forward to the brain and heart testing monitoring too there.

Brain because I have multiple mental health disorders. So I was quite interested for to find out what they may had seen on the test of my brain. Even my psychiatrist told me a while back to get the sleep study done because if I have sleep apnea then it could add to the depression. Since.my brain isn't getting the full amount of oxygen and such it needs as I sleep. And it could be adding to me feeling low energy too.

My heart because I have tachycardia and a lot of time a higher pulse rate. So I was recently prescribed Propranolol for the heart and such. A beta blocker it is. So I thought cool when they monitor my heart too maybe they'd find something that's been missed as to why I have such happen.

So yeah disappointed some, I just wrote an email to that girl at the sleep study place to mention such things and ask a few questions. So I'll see what ends up happening really later on I guess
