I think she got a hold of it in her Disney Plus show.

Thought this movie would happen because of dr strange's shenanigans in mcu spiderman 3 last year, scarlet witch being the cause is a twist I didnt expect

Ok what's really funny to me is it's like MCU ran out of villains once they got rid of the big bad Thanos so they had to turn former heroes and/or avengers into villains.

Well, she goes from villain to hero and back again all the time in the comics.

So basically you never read the comics and only know Scarlet Witch from the movies

Doctor Strange 2 was originally meant to be out first, before No Way Home. But the 2 movies got switched around for a reason I don't remember

Yeah this, stuff i've read throughout the years she's generally more on the bad side of things. She's taken things to some massive scales also.

Now that I think about it I'm not sure Wanda in the MCU was ever actually a "hero" or wanted to be one, she just joined the Avengers due to Vision.

Granted it's been a while since I've seen any of the older movies so I might be due for a rewatch.

I think the MCU Wanda just want to settle down and start a family.

Her plan is so stupid though. Theres infinite universes yet shes going after one with a wanda already and her made up children exist there. I get it its just so movie can happen but the multiverse stuff is actually getting silly.

I thought the plot was fairly stupid. And the multiverse was barely used. Really just a mid movie I may never watch again

Why the hell did they make the Boner joke in Wandavision then and didn't just have him be the one good Quicksilver from Xmen, if they were always planning on doing X-Men? That actually annoys me to be honest

I still haven't seen this movie because I have no interest in watching wandavision and it sounds like it's a pretty fundamental requirement for understanding what the hell is going on.

Because WandaVision had nothing to do with the Multiverse. And MCU Quicksilver was better/more accurate than Fox's version.

MCU actually low key be doing their main female characters wrong but I dont think people are ready for that conversation

That is indeed Charlize Theron. She is playing Dr. Srange's wife in the comics. Blast if I can't remember the name.

I kind of feel weirdly... less than satisfied. The premises of these movies is getting flimsier and flimsier. It seems like they're focusing more on fanservice and it kind of felt the same as spiderman no way home tbh in that regards.

So wanda sees how her kids are terrified of her and leaves well enough alone and then destroys the darkhold runes/ruins and I guess... herself? So no more scarlet witch I guess? Well they did kill off Vision so I guess they wanted to send them off as a couple together.

And that wraps up everything with a neat little bow, they're not worried about this new kid opening up a portal when she's stressed or whatever and something comes out.

The ending was a bit abrupt.

That portal kid will be used again. In the comics she is a fairly big character. She is probably going to be a member of Young Avengers once they get to that. Another member will be the female Hawkeye from Disney plus

After finishing the movie... has anyone who watched What If noticed all the what if references?

I mean in the hilariously blatant trailer for this movie they put in spiderman no way home (reminiscent of avengers 1's trailer in first avenger except they've had 10 years of experience since then) they showed the dr strange that looked like the evil powerful dr strange who absorbed stuff and destroyed all of creation, so that one's obvious.

But in the actual movie sam raimi keeps doing not-so-subtle shots of wanda looking like zombie wanda from that one episode of what if where zombie wanda is able to control everyone everywhere in a way that would make darkseid's anti-life equation jealous.

You know when Wandavision ended I said she was evil and was annoyed she didn't get retribution, but I had no idea how evil they were gonna make her in this. The typical sleazy FBI/government agents of that show were right to try and take her out.

But I still didn't guess it was her. When Strange was like "these runes look like the work of a witch, let's ask Wanda to help us" I was like they already defeated Agatha in Wandavision, who else could be the villain of this movie? Another obscure comic book character? Turned out to be Wanda herself

Huh. I'm glad I was able to avoid spoilers but now I'm curious what the hell happened these past 3 or how many years they were filming this, because sounds like there's a story there. I don't know why but I was expecting this to be a long movie, yet when I saw it's under 2 hours I was surprised.

Not that longer = better, I just thought multiverse shenanigans would make for a longer movie. But the first movie was also shorter than these recent 2+ hour superhero movies

I never watched Evil Dead I just know it's about zombies, and I can see Sam Raimi was itching to relive those days with all the zombiesm in this movie

She was the cause of Civil War too, in that accidental bombing incident.

Holy crap looking back they have her be the bad one who did the bad thing often. Well at least they phased out that terrible accent from avengers 2 (now we have to put up with florence pugh's accent ugh)

In my experience, most MCU fans never read the comics, or even a wiki. Fair, but it leads to some out of left field questions like "why is Black Widow an Avenger?"

It's been 2 years I definitely forgot a lot of Wandavision besides Agatha giving a hilariously great performance and a few key scenes.

Just rewatched the post credit scene. Wait how did Wanda even get the Darkhold in that post credit scene, was it in Agatha's basement? I can't remember. Why wasn't it already secured by the Ancient One and the Sorcerer Supreme like ages ago?

Introducing the Multiverse is too complicated. It makes a lot of stuff feel... pointless sometimes or insignificant.

I still like it more than time travel though.

Regarding something Chritine said. They made MCU Earth 616? Isn't the comic book universe the prime universe 616? Or are they all numbers in Marvel and no "Prime Earth/Universe" like DC does.

I think MCU phase 4 was to lay the foundation for the stuff that's gonna happen in phase 5. Doctor Strange 2, Loki, and Spiderman: No Way Home all gave us teasers for how crazy the Multiverse can get. I think they're going to be diving into the the Multiverse hard in phase 5.

Ant-Man 3 is next month and I'm excited to see what Kang is gonna do.

The 616 thing was the MCU not respecting the comics, and trying to steal their identity. A lot of comic readers were annoyed when the movie came our

Technically the MCU and comics are in the same multiverse. The comics admit that the MCU exists. But the MCU tries to pretend the comics don't exist.

Regardless, the real 616, the main comic universe is the true main marvel universe, no matter what any movie says
