Current Events > Easy free video editor that allows me to add text that moves around the video?

I'm not talking about an animated text that fades in or anything like that, I just need to be able to have the text start on one part of the screen of the video and move with the action of the rest of the video, like you see in various memes.

I used to be able to do this very easily with keyframes in Adobe After Effects, but I stopped subscribing to Adobe sometime a year ago because they were too expensive.

Now I just need something quick and free, anyone have any good software tools they use for this?

Davinci Resolve. It's entirely free and is a professional program while being really user friendly. It's pretty much replaced Adobe for everyone that's sick of their shit.

You can do what you want to do pretty easily by having your main footage on v1 then layering a text generator on v2 of the edit page, then creating key frames in text generators parameters. Or you can learn how to do it in the Fusion tab which is also easy. Has more steps but you'll have way more control.

I use Pinnacle Studio, it's not very expensive and there may be a trial or limited free version. It would be fine for what you need probably.
