I finally found the website for the company that does my local pickup, and looked up their rules. I was following most of them, but one.

It was apparently too close to the garage. Moved it out this morning, and boom, it's finally fucking empty!

Now it'll take a few weeks to get caught up... but yay. I didn't have to talk to anyone!

Recycling is bad. It was a ploy created by plastic and oil companies to put the responsibility on the consumer to stop polluting the environment. Now it's been shown it has increased the rate of microplastics, which are the most harmful to our ecosystem.

I didn't know about the micro plastics, but I knew it was a sham. They melt all the plastic down, without regard to type, and get a worthless block that's really only good to use for shopping bags. Barely.

I found out recently that my trash local service just buried the recycling in the same hole as the trash so we had them pick up the recycling can a few days ago. Here I was thinking they were turning old bottles into new bottles or something.

We don't have too much built up right now and make quite a bit less than what I just put in there today.

If I really wanted to get rid of it, I could just take it to the drop off center, but I don't want to bother. lol

Aluminum, glass, and cardboard is slightly better.

just try to cut plastic out of your life as much as possible.

Regardless plastic isnt going away. We all have it in our lungs and any meat, fish, and poultry we eat. At this point we can hope that helpful gut bacteria emerges to break it down but otherwise humans will look back on these times poorly for the next few centuries.
