it like once a day as opposed to many times? I mean, wait till it gets down to close to 0 and then charge it all the way up?

What I do is run the battery down to like 30% then charge it back up to 100%. I've also disabled all forms of fast charging to minimize the heat generated since I've read that it may adversely affect overall battery life.

keeping it at 50% charge will provide the greatest longevity for a lithium battery though that's obviously not always practical. Going to 0% causes the most wear on a battery (besides exposing it to physical damage or extreme temperatures), charging all the way to 100% also causes some wear but most phones manage the charging circuit well enough to minimize wear while charging so it isn't as bad as going to 0%.

I've heard it is usually not good to let it go down to 0

I usually recharge when it goes under 30%

Keep it between 30% and 80% charged for maximum longevity. I got at least an extra year out of my current phone by doing that.

Not exactly. Ideally you want it between 80% and 20% the whole time. That's the only real thing you can do to improve longevity.

if iPhone just charge and let the software do as it determines best:

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT210512

They are a bag of dicks and dont make batteries like they used to though. I have a device from 2008 that charges great and lasts all day.. but modern phones seem to need a new battery every year and a half.

Yeah on my phone you can slow charge, fast charge, or super fast charge. I just disabled the latter 2.

Some phones also have a protect battery option that caps the charge at like 80-85% to extend the lifespan of the battery. It's nice I guess but if it's capped at only 80%, you're not getting a full charge anyway so you'll find yourself getting less battery life because you will be recharging more often.

Charging multiple times doesnt really matter. When they say charge, they mean a full charge.
