I just got my Sax and I am getting back into learning and, and boy do I suck. And I can't Transpose anymore.I play Bari and I use to read Tuba music and use to know how to change the Key Signatures. I have forgotten all of that.

However I can still jam with I am not actively thinking about the notes. Like I could not write out a song anymore. But if I had a backing track I would now what notes to play. (isn't that odd)

I can pretty much pickup my guitar at any time and play as well as I did before... sometimes better because I'm a little more loose from not playing. That isn't to say I'm actually any good... lol

I get withdrawal symptoms if I go long periods without playing my instruments . Music is medicine.

I kinda dabbled in keyboard during my teenage years, but I never took it serious. Recently I bought a good quality keyboard and now Im taking it serious. Ive gotten quite decent in the last few months.

My main instrument is the guitar preferably the acoustic. I love songwriting!

Oh yeah. I play drums, so I have had to basically quit for long periods because of how loud they are. Then I got an electronic kit and I can play whenever I want to without bothering anyone. And if Im playing like crap, nobody hears it.

I play alto sax, but I'm so rusty at it. I'm pretty much never gonna get back to how good I was in high school because I don't feel like spending anywhere near the amount of time it would take to do it.

When the initial COVID restrictions killed.live music I pretty much quit playing. Occasionally I'd pick up my bass but I'd just tinker with pedals and make more ambient sounding shit. Got back together with an old band for a reunion show this year and the songs came back pretty easy but the finger speed took a while to return.

I haven't played my guitar or keyboard in a long time. I can always just pick up my guitar a little better than before after some warm ups for some reason. I always feel a little looser and free after a break for some reason.

With my keyboard I'm usually alright until I actually try to think about what I'm playing. After that it goes downhill pretty quick.
