At this rate, I'll buy enough official controllers to double the cost of my Xbox SeX by it's first birthday.
How can I stop this from happening again?
I'll buy any third party controller.

Well you could learn to solder and replace the sticks yourself...

Surely if I stick up for rich people on the Internet I'll eventually get a sweet job offer from them, right?

Use a controller with Hall effect sensors. There's no potentiometer to wear out, it's just magnetism.

I have no idea, are you really heavy handed with your controllers and thumbsticks? I've had the same Xbox One controllers for years, 3 of them, and i've had a XSX for a year with two controllers, I put in a lot of hours per week, I have never experienced drift.

Xbox 360 it happened to me a few times.

Just buy the cheap wired controllers instead of the official Xbox ones, unless you're willing to plop down like 200 on a pro controller.

My friend goes through like 1 controller every 2 months from anger issues and just buys the cheap ones. Besides not being wireless, they're basically just as good. He also got a pro one so he could have something too expensive to break. Now when he gets mad he gets out the cheap one and plays it until it's in the wall

Amazing!!! It supports everything BUT PS & Xbox!
How do we get this technology into our consoles?

Seriously I'm buying it for my PC tho.

I got my mom a couple of cheap 3rd party Gamecube controllers for Christmas to replace ones that had worn out and were drifting (also 3rd party)

Do the pro controllers not suffer from drift? Because if I buy one and it drifts, I'll sprinkle Legos on your bath mat.

All controllers that use potentiometers for their sticks will eventually break down.

You should be able to find modded controllers online or at the very least mod kits that replace the sticks with magnet based ones.
