Also, I don't think you're Scum, and I don't think you're Town. I think you've put less effort into the game than you're capable of, and I think you sticking on "why JC" is a lazy point for you to concoct activity with.

I'm not going to go person-by-person now, but "Why JC" is answered by me looking at the list and finding reasons why I don't think other players would garner a special from this player base.

Pay attention to sbell tomorrow. It's somewhat unreasonable to expect him to do well with a headache. But it's also unlikely that it would stay overnight.

Sbell is having post scum hangover

Could be town not putting up an act or could be scum again annoyed that he rolled scum twice in a row. I dont recall how he would act here in those situations

I am leaving town on Sbell though. Lying about a headache seems dumb and playing through a headache seems Town

He doesn't really have the attention on him for it to read as Scum trying to be active to avoid being suspected for being inactive after being called out as inactive.

Headache has subsided. I'm feeling better now. I think the hour drive was actually helpful.

Saying stuff either falls into scum faking content or town wanting things to happen.

Saying you have a headache then posting anyways isnt a logical scum play. You already excused yourself. Why are you possibly giving yourself the chance to slip?

All my years a special was still based off an inkling it was hitting scum in the process. "Why we lynching X?"; "He said that thing, must be scum, let's lynch him".

Don't know why town would lynch someone based on the idea they are the easiest person to get killed, special or nay.

That's okay though! I'm home now, let me spell this out.

In the game of Mafia, sometimes people get specialed. It is a little chaotic. It is not really based on a Town consensus of who should get lynched, or who people think are most likely to be Scum. It is a simple execution of Social momentum.

Somebody might lead a special by picking the right target, who they think is Scum or Scummy, and other people might think the same, and that's why it picks up steam. Though sometimes, a special target can be wrong and bolstered by Scum or incorrect Town.

In this particular case, I look at the list and see people I would argue against being lynched, people who I think aren't specialable targets (for example, Lea - don't think people would do that to her and I think she has the charisma to fend it off anyway), and people who have just offered enough that they wouldn't be specialed. Simply put, JC seems like the person who would be specialed.

I hope that this has been explanatory enough. Now that I have explained that, can you please provide for me thoughts on Lopen staunchy standing against an early-day vote train on Plum, Abacus vaulting onto me, Marth's eagerness to hop off early, etc...

I dont recall him ever doing this before as either alignment. I can come up with reasons this would happen with him being town but that would just be feeding him likes at this point

I mean, let's be honest, he's probably just busy.

The Plummoxing is being treated like a joke but I could see a scum Corrik faced down with plum and I as town actually respecting it, if for no other reason than I was as one with Plum last game and while I know Corrik doesn't respect my solving skills very much I do believe he does respect my ability to make a lot of noise so he could definitely be a bit on edge about that.

That's why red was on my suspect list-- his offhand dismissal of it as making any sense at all seems like the type of thing scum red does as a passive defense. I'm not saying it's a slam dunk that he has to be scum but it would make some sense.

Lopen, I'm sorry, but I agree with Red there.

There is honestly no reason to look into Corrik's absence as anything more than him just being absent, insofar.
