Good for her. I know a few people that have or do work at walmart and some of the stories they tell of management are absolutely horrendous.

Im not they suck. No one stopped her cause they dont care. She doesnt look cool getting on the loud speaker and talking shit before she leaves. Just leave. I worked at walmart a year and just quit cause they sucked. Within that year so many people quit and no one cared. Plenty cussed out their direct boss and they didnt care. Grow up, leave.

My friend put in his two weeks with FedEx and finished up his last shift. He was turning his stuff in and saying goodbye and they were trying to get him to come in the next day. The guy was going back home to Ghana.

And yeah, if I was hiring someone, I don't care what I'm hiring them for, if I do a social media check and find out she quit and publicly bashed her workplace to clients/customers, her resume is going right in the garbage. This is Gen Z shit where they don't comprehend their actions online having real world consequences.

She might live in one of many areas where Wal-Mart has choked out enough competition that she has to work for them because they're the only job available.

Which would make quitting so dramatically even more stupid. Never burn a bridge you might need to fall back across. Walmart will hire damn near anyone, and pretty quickly given the turnover. Having walmart to fall back on for income while you're between "real" jobs is probably a wise idea given how in the shit the economy is getting.

I worked overnight stock at a Target 25 years ago...

I had to call out 3 days in a row because they exposed me to chemicals... Except when I tried to call before closing (overnight stock starts at closing time), no one would take my message, and my mangers weren't there yet. I was told to call after the store closed... when there was no one to answer the phone, and I couldn't leave a message.

They marked me as voluntary quit because I didn't show up 3 days in a row... because I couldn't call in... because no one would take my call in 2 hours before my shift... which started when the store closed... but the rule was I had to call in 2 hours before my shift start, but no one would accept my call in because my manager wasn't there until after the store closed.

Oh, and I can never work for Target ever again because of it.

Walmart meanwhile you can call an automated number to call out, which then connects you to your store, which I've never actually bothered talking to anyone because just calling the number marks you as out, or else you can call out on your home computer using the parts of the employee website you can access without being on the clock, and also not have to call anyone at the store.

That's great that it makes her feel better, but it's true that Walmart gives zero fucks about it. Also, lol at a company taking the time to figure out who this woman is. Hiring managers don't have a team of private investigators. They at most call your references and Google your name.

To call out at Target you need to still call 2 hours prior of your shift. Even if you call, you still have to hope someone picks up the phone and writes it down.
