I really enjoyed the show but I do wish that it was a little bit more possible to figure out the mystery.

also I dont get why Elliott didnt tell Maura anything. If she had the key to the pyramid and he had the pyramid, why wouldnt he just ask her? Wasnt Elliott primarily working with Daniel and not Henry?

minor issues aside highly recommend the show

I fully intend to, Ive heard Dark is next level good

also the fact that the characters couldnt understand each other led to some funny situations. Like I couldnt help but laugh when Clemence was rambling to Tove and then she put the pants on. Tove literally would have heard a rambling woman who then started to strip and put pants on and understood nothing which I think is brilliant

I watched it and honestly, maybe I went in with too much hype but I wasn't impressed. and unlike Dark, I don't even feel like I want to rewatch the season - maybe will feel differently if they build it out in a season 2 (or beyond, but yeah)

For me, too many things I didn't like. Understanding the appeal of the international nature of the show but the last few episodes with nobody understanding anyone else, like I'm an observer and I'm being frustrated that massive plot dumps are happening and 90% of the cast is just either standing there dumbfounded in silence, or follow it up with "what did he/she say". But also I really didn't care for most of the characters and what stood for their "storyline", and considering even their memories (and personalities?) were fabricated, it just makes a rewatch even less appealing?

But more than that: the clear and obvious glitching of the "Japanese" girl's hand pretty early in Episode 1, immediately telegraphed to me they were in a simulation of some kind. Sure it was 100% obvious by the way Episode 2 ended but that still really bugged me.

So yeah, not enthused unfortunately, I mean the visuals were beautiful but the show material itself, not so much. I'll watch season 2 if/when it happens but yeah, it's no Dark.

Can't hype Dark enough tbh
