I agree that the relevance of the characters was totally unexplained and definitely kind of weird but Im kind of hoping season 2 fills in the gaps there. Like Im wondering why Virginia and Olek were in the opening credits as the first 2 characters but we never actually got their stories? Virginia especially. She was the most there and there were no stakes for her touching the weird blackness
I was kind of hoping that because it was a simulation, characters would start understanding each other despite the language barriers and it would be a weird glitch in the simulation
