It's about $11 for 30 at my local Food Lion. Which sucks because we eat a lot of eggs. Crazy that a little less than 10% of my grocery budget each week is eggs right now. Hoping it'll get better eventually but it is what it is.

Yeah, the prices are nuts. It's a real problem. Everything has gone up, but eggs are a staple for us and we rely on their relative cheapness. They are not cheap right now.

Family of four. I eat 2-3 most days, and family breakfast on Sunday. Coupled with the occasional breakfast for dinner every couple of weeks when I'm tired, busy and need to hobble something together quick. Or if my daughter wants something quick but hot for breakfast (can easily scramble eggs and make toast in less than five minutes).

eggs last a long time in the fridge dude, and normal breakfast of eggs is like 2-3 eggs

when i was first looking at bulk egg prices at places like Costco and Smart and Final back in like February in preparation for launching my small baked goods business, there was a 150 count box that went for 20 bucks. now, that same box is going for 60 bucks! it's insane.

Egg prices are pretty high if youre limited to only choosing ones laid by chickens.

My go to egg layer is the emu. They may cost a little more but talk about huevos grande!

Went from $2.49 to $4.99 at my local grocery store. Even worse at the diner where I work. A case was like $25 back in July 2021, now it's up to $88. Hard to keep prices the same when your main ingredient has more than tripled.

well, i haven't launched it yet, because i suffered a hernia back in like May or June, and underwent a repair surgery for it in July, and am still kind of in the recovery period from the surgery. even worse is that in all that time, i was advised against doing any strenuous physical activity, especially core-engaging activity, which is basically my entire ongoing physical therapy regimen to address my chronic lower back pain. so the condition with that deteriorated a lot.

but i am bouncing back right now, i started back up the PT with more in-office sessions about a month ago, and i am slowly getting back to where i was physically before the hernia. once i am confident that i will be physically capable of enduring the demands of baking dozens or perhaps hundreds of mini cheesecakes every week, i am ready to move forward full speed with it.

i just wish eggs and other ingredients were cheaper though lol.

Just looked and they are a little more expensive then they have been but not the prices that i'm seeing mentioned here. It probably also helps that a lot of people in my area have their own chickens just for eggs. I CONSTANTLY get offered free eggs.
