The trial is adjourned and it's now up to the judge to issue a ruling "forthwith," whatever that means. Hopefully, we'll get the ruling tomorrow.

Short summary:
  • In the Arizona gubernatorial race, Katie Hobbs defeated Kari Lake. Katie Hobbs is the governor-elect.
  • Kari Lake is essentially running the Trump playbook. She's claiming fraud and refusing to accept the results. She has already filed a frivolous lawsuit that was thrown out, and her lawyers were sanctioned by the judge.
  • Kari Lake has filed another lawsuit with 10 claims or so. The judge threw out 8 of them, but allowed the other 2 to go to trial.

Some major idiocy:
  • Kari Lake's lawyers spent a ton of time talking about 19" ballots vs 20" ballots, but they offered no evidence of anyone intentionally printing 19" ballots, nor did they offer any evidence that 19" ballots were actually printed.
  • Kari Lake's lawyers were largely tasked with proving that the errors that happened with printers and stuff in Maricopa county were the result of intentional misconduct. At one point, though, they were supposed to put an exhibit up on the display and they couldn't get it to work. He said something along the line of "We tested this with the AV tech prior to today's proceedings and it worked, but it's not working now." The lack of self awareness there was pretty crazy.

They never really proved anything. They just brought up conspiracy theories and offered no proof of any of their claims.
