Just found out it has a lot of classic cartoons and shows.

On the one hand I kinda want to skim a couple episodes of the shows I grew up with just for nostalgia reasons, like boy meets world or lizzie mcguire and especially even stevens

Are any of the goofy disney channel original movies on there? And by any I mean all of them, from smart house to don't look under the bed

But these occasional nostalgia pangs happen only once in a while. I wonder if the app has all the shows and cartoons I have in mind. Like mighty ducks (cartoon not movie)

First thing i watched when i got disney plus was watch all of boy meets world again.

Also watched Brink!, Alley Cats Strike, and other original movies.
Also has Cool Runnings which isnt an original, but one of my favorite movies lol.

Oh man just hit a snag. The Aladdin cartoon isn't on Disney Plus. What the actual hell Disney, this was your best property.

I wonder if Aladdin has some weird copyright issue. Though I don't understand why it would. Disney made it, 100%

tell me more about this cast rewatching podcast I'm super intrigued. Who are we talking, Cory, Eric, Shawn? Topanga? I know that for Scrubs both Zach Braff and Donald Faison were doing their own rewatch podcast but that's the only one I know. Didn't know it's been a trend.

Eric, Shawn and Topanga are the hosts. They just finished up season 1 and are gonna start season 2 in January. In addition to the recap episodes they have a whole bunch of interview episodes and have already interviewed Feeny, Minkus, Amy & Alan, Jack, Angela, and a whole bunch of side characters and writers/directors. Cory seems to be completely uninterested though and will likely never be a part of it.

OH it's a recent thing. I love all those guys, shame Cory isn't interested. They interviewed all those people on their podcast? Heck yeah I always liked Jack and Angela, they were great additions.

Huh you're right. Does anyone remember a cartoon called Jungle Cubs? It's basically their attempt to do the The Jungle Book animals as kids like with muppet babies and pup named scooby doo. Apparently it aint on disney plus neither.

Not nearly as big an oversight as Aladdin, but still worth mentioning.

One big missing one is Buzz Lightyear of Star Command. Which I think Pixar are trying to pretend doesn't exist.

It's also missing Dumbo's Circus and and Pooh Corner, which I didn't know until recently was lost media. They were never released on any home media, and random VHS recordings that have been uploaded are the only thing that exists.

It has the entire Simpsons collection. It's worth it for that alone.

anyways, the podcast is great. I really dig the chemistry and genuine friendship between the three and how funny they are. Danielle Fishel is super funny and all three of them are easy to listen to. I cant wait until they get into Season 2-4, that was peak of the show for me

Oh hell, that's 2 pretty big dealbreakers now, Buzz Lightyear series was great. Wait why are pixar pretending it doesn't exist, it was actually a good show, nothing to be ashamed about.

Good call. S5 is def a transition season for me. I still def enjoy it more than 6-7, its still got some solid episodes and stories

Which season has the cult episode? Thats my favorite ep. I still get goosebumps when Alan shoves the cult leader against the wall in protection of Shawn

the cast of BMW or GMW was racist ? Have not heard this

It could all be PR cleanup but the actress for Angela seems to have made amends with everyone except Cory. Erics actor made like one off color joke and apparently Topanga was cold to her on GMW. They spoke very candidly about it on the podcast and they all seem close. Not sure what exactly happened with Cory though but I think its part of why hes not on the podcast, theyre just not outright saying it

yeah was going to say that Angela was on the podcast. I dont see a reason why they would have lied on the podcast if it was still an issue, Angela/Trina would have just not agreed to do the pod I would have thought. But interesting theory about Cory

I've been waiting on the cartoon to come out for some time..*sigh* It was my thing when I was a kid. Aladdin, Power Rangers, and Rugrats. My big 3.

Disney Plus is cool for the Simpsons but HBO Max is where it's at.

Ok so some of the wild guesses and theories people have been coming up with regarding Aladdin's exclusion is the pop culture references that Genie makes. Which doesn't make sense when he still did it in the movie and its sequels but streaming has been complete crap when it comes to licensing and legal issues like with what happened to Scrubs and Malcolm in the Middle, so I get it on some level
