had to drop $500 on a hold that was supposed to go towards the security deposit once we got approved. we got approved but the deposit was WAY more than what we were quoted on (likely because of poor credit lol) so we decided to back out before signing anything. now theyre saying that because we didnt cancel within 24 hours of submitting the application (even though it took them like 2 days to approve us) theyre keeping the $500 deposit and seemingly wont budge on it at all. waiting for the manager to call me back but theyre really standing their ground at the moment. if the manager doesnt decide to give me my money back, whats my best course of action here? i fucking hate management companies. --- im gay ...
